Inefficiency and lack of a unified team focus in central office is a tremendous problem that filters down to the schools and students. Regarding inefficiency, our SPS team is talented enough that much of the outsourcing we do could be handled in-house if we facilitate better communication between those that need and those of us that can provide.

Another issue that really needs attention is assessing the efficacy of the resources and supports that we are providing our students.
Many are through computer based programs, and I would like to see technology utilized to supplement instruction provided by live, qualified teachers.

The most important responsibility of the Board is ensuring that every student in Stamford Public Schools has access to a quality education. It is our responsibility as representatives on the Board to make sure that our students are equipped with the tools they need to thrive after they leave the purview of SPS.
