Walking the entire district and speaking to many people have confirmed to me that the quality of life issues such as traffic, development and zoning enforcement top everyone’s list. The Springdale Neighborhood Association Meetings during the past four years have surfaced the same issues.. Jon and I worked hard to stop the expansion of the Village commercial District and we will continue to do so. Lack of Zoning Enforcement is a paramount issue and it can ruin the integrity of our neighborhoods, as a Board member I will continue to report violations and press for favorable results

There are many ways to communicate with my constituents in the 17th District. I presently and will continue to attend all Springdale Neighborhood Association meetings where residents’ concerns are shared. Participating in other informal neighborhood events such as the annual Tree Lighting and Spring Clean ups also gives people an opportunity to speak and air their issues in an informal manner. Then of course there are the more traditional ways of email and voice mail. It is very important to answer calls and emails in a timely manner so that people know there representative cares and is there to help them.
