The top priority I believe Springdale has to be a need to refocus on infrastructure. The over-development of our village has put an undue burden on our roads, schools and streets. While limiting future development is something we would all get behind and have, it does not help the rampant issues our community currently has with an older community school, limited parking and increased traffic. we need to continue to keep a watchful eye on future development but push our quality of life issues here in Springdale that impact us NOW.
Availability is the #1 priority for me as a Representative. As President of our local Little League I have had countless meetings over a hot dog at the field to discuss a constituent's issue. Additionally, I believe in responding immediately when contacted by a constituent. Even if only to say I got your message and will look in to it. I recognize if someone is reaching out to me they have an extremely important issue to them individually and I try to respect that as an important if not THE important role of my job as a Rep. Finally, I try to close the loop and let people know what happened and what if any steps are still going on and/or would need to be taken should a similar issue happen again. Additionally, Mary and I go to every Springdale Neighborhood Association to discuss what we know is going on in Springdale on a more broad perspective.
