If elected, my top priority would be to enforce responsible zoning and protect the environment. I would do this by working to ensure that quality city services are delivered to the district and that the voices of the citizens are heard and listened to by the administration of the City and the Boards and Commissions. When the City is listening and showing fiscal responsibility the quality of life will be enhanced.
I would improve communications with the general public by continuing to reach out to the members of my district and continuing to listen to their concerns. By responding to the concerns of the district and sharing information gathered through my work as a Representative a partnership will be created as both work for the greater good of the community. I would make sure that the public will be informed of meetings, hearings, and plans so they can share their thoughts for maintaining a positive quality of life in the 19th District.
As a long time resident of Stamford I have been engaged in community activities and political positions to serve the residents of Stamford. I was President of the the Stamford Watershed Association that fought a text change in North Stamford which was a grave concern to the residents. I have served on the North Stamford Association as a Board member and officer for 17 years. I served on the Stamford Board of Education from 2000-2003 and the Charter Revision Commission for the City of Stamford from 2011-2012. I was also chairman of the Community Advisory Panel on Well Water helping to ensure testing of wells for the community. Stamford has been my home for over fifty years and I have worked to enhance the quality of life. I have been endorsed by Connecticut State Senator Scott Frantz, Connecticut State Representative Livvy Floren, and former Mayor Michael Pavia for my years of public service and community involvement for the residents of the 19th District.
