The quality of life and the community feel of District 16 are very important to me. In speaking to District 16 residents I have been told they are concerned about maintaining this family orientated environment. With that in mind, if re-elected my priorities for District 16 are to: support improvements to the education of our children; work to improve the conditions of our streets and sidewalks, keep a watchful eye on over-development in the District; work to avoid unnecessary spending and tax increases; and, look to improve the safety of our streets for our children, pedestrians and motorists.

This is a major issue for the City, and one that will demand the attention of the entire Board of Representatives, the Board of Education, the Board of Finance, the Mayor’s office, as well as several other Boards and Committees. The decisions made on this topic in the coming years will have an impact on the City, our residents and our children for many years to come. Therefore, politics must be put to the side and everyone must work together for greater good. The children of Stamford are our greatest assets and deserve our very best effort. As a priority for me, I will make myself available for this coordinated effort and give it my greatest effort. Only a committed coordinated effort will be able to successfully tackle this issue.

I believe a great deal of information is already available to residents of the City, including the personal contact information for every member of the Board of Representatives. However, I realize that many people may only be interested in specific issues. When that is the case, I am more than happy to speak with people on those issues/topics. Additionally, if people in District 16 would like regular communications, and are willing to provided their e-mail addresses, I would be more than happy to send out regular communications.
