If elected I want to have an open dialogue with all with my constituents in regards to their concerns. I want to work with the community, the Mayor, and my fellow colleges on fixing what I believe are the main issues and concerns we face in the 17th District. Among them, Traffic and Speeding, Commercial Vehicles being parked illegally on our residential streets, Car theft and other crimes in our neighborhoods, and of course helping to fix the continuing problems in our Public Schools. All of this needs to be done through effective communication and civility.
As an educator in the public schools for over 10 years now, I feel that I have real life experience in knowing what are the main concerns of parents, teachers, and our students. Since I have worked in 3 schools and started after school programs in more, I have the unique opportunity of seeing what works and what doesn't. I promise to work hard with whoever the new mayor is to address these and other school related programs.
I was born and raised in Stamford and attended the Stamford Public Schools my whole life. There is no better and more diverse place to raise our children if we openly are transparent with Stamford residents and teachers about what the problems are and how we are going to plan on fixing them. If we do that, the Stamford Public Schools can definitely be the great district it once was.
I want my constituents to feel as though they have an open pipeline to me. That they can talk directly to me and feel that their voices are being heard. My personal phone number is available to the public so they can reach me any time, and so is my email. I will always answer emails and return phone calls. I also look forward to working with the Glenbrook Neighborhood Association and the Springdale Neighborhood Association to address the problems or concerns my constituents have. Most importantly, again I want to reiterate that I want to know and hear from my constituents on a personal level so I know what they think the problems are, so I can help solve them.
